On January 13–14, 2026, the University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang (DUT) and the University of Technical Education – The University of Danang (UTE) held a ceremony to receive Industry 4.0 laboratory equipment sponsored by East Sea Electrical Automation Technology Co., Ltd. (ESTEC) in cooperation with Siemens Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The event clearly demonstrated the close and effective partnership between academia and industry in the shared effort to build a hands-on training environment equipped with modern automation technology solutions, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s industrial sector.
Based on the hardware and software platforms sponsored by Siemens, ESTEC reaffirmed its role as a solution provider by contributing part of the equipment and delivering the full scope of services, including design, engineering, fabrication, and installation of complete Demo Kits. These Demo Kits integrate open, practical applications that are well aligned with the teaching and training requirements of the universities. The handed-over Demo Kits include:
- PLC S7-1500 Training Model: An advanced control system designed for complex industrial applications.
- PLC S7-1200 & IoT Training Model: An Internet of Things–enabled solution, anticipating and supporting digital transformation trends.
- G120 & V20 Inverter Training Model: An optimized variable frequency drive (VFD) control model for motion and drive applications.
The entire process of design, fabrication, installation, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) was carried out at ESTEC Digital Factory, located in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park. Prior to the handover ceremony, ESTEC also conducted training sessions to guide dedicated lecturers on the effective operation and utilization of the laboratory systems.
Positive feedback from the universities
Representatives of the universities highly appreciated the sponsorship program, expressing particular admiration for the quality of the Demo Kits in terms of technology, practical applications, and overall aesthetics. They also acknowledged and valued the strong sense of social responsibility demonstrated by the corporate partners toward the community.
Once again, the close collaboration between Siemens and ESTEC has contributed to enhancing the technical and scientific infrastructure of the universities, creating favorable conditions for lecturers and students not only to conduct hands-on practice within the curriculum, but also to support the development of in-depth scientific research activities on the most advanced technology platforms.
The project is one of the collaborative initiatives among the universities, Siemens, and ESTEC aimed at improving the quality of education and training in the fields of automation and Industry 4.0.
Through the implementation of practical training models, ESTEC aspires to continue accompanying the universities in supporting teaching and research activities, while strengthening the linkage between education and real-world industrial production.
